...White grapes are never actually white in color; rather, there are lighter-skinned types such as green, yellow-green, light orange or gold. Likewise, black grapes are not actually black but are rather a red or deep blue, ranging from a deep indigo to a light ruby. The pulp inside is mostly water, with sugars and acids included. It is usually a grey color. The skin of the black grapes is what gives the red wine its distinctive color.
