[Ans] Who created the ballpoint pen in 1944?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Who created the ballpoint pen in 1944?"

...A ball point pen is a pen that uses a small rotating ball made of brass, steel, or tungsten carbide to disperse ink as you write. All of the pens that preceded the ballpoint -- whether quill, metal or fountain -- used a watery, dark india ink that fed through the pen using capillary action. How does a ball point pen work?

Why was the ballpoint pen invented? The first patent for a ballpoint pen was issued on 30 October 1888, to John J. Loud, who was attempting to make a writing instrument that would be able to write "on rough surfaces-such as wood, coarse wrapping-paper, and other articles" which then-common fountain pens could not.
