...John F. Kennedy would be elected in 1960 and would be assassinated on November 22nd 1963. The youngest president was actually Theodore Roosevelt, but he was not elected (in his first term) but instead succeeded McKinley upon his assassination. Kennedy's short term is most associated with the Bay of Pigs, the Berlin Wall, and the Cuban Missile crisis. Domestically his presidency is probably most remembered for his tax cuts, his attempts to improve civil rights, and, of course, his support of sending a man to the moon.
