...Sixteen-year old Carter Wilkerson was on a mission to get free chicken nuggets. During the process, the teenage boy made Twitter history after he tweeted to Wendy’s account asking how many retweets he would need to get a year’s worth of nuggets. Wendy's replied “18 million”, which prompted the hashtag #NuggsforCarter and the tweet went viral. Although he didn’t reached 18 million, he still did enough for his tweet to make it into the Guinness Book of World records for the world record of the most retweeted tweet of all time. After breaking the record, Wendy’s announced on Twitter that it gave Carter Wilkerson free nuggets for a year and donated $100,000 to the Dave Thomas Foundation.
