[Answer] What is a poult?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What is a poult?"

...Baby turkeys are poults. Some will call them turklings but poult is the more popularly used term. Turkey babies hatch from their tan and brown speckled eggs after an incubation period of about one month. Baby turkeys are unable to fly when they're born; they don't learn to do this until about two weeks later. The poults will remain with their mother, roosting on the ground until they are able to fly up into a tree for the night. Source: Reference.com
