Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Who did Jack Ruby notoriously shoot on November 24th 1963?"
On this day in 1964, nightclub owner Jack Ruby was found guilty of the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald before Oswald could stand trial for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It was the first courtroom verdict to be televised in U.S. history. Many people believe Ruby killed Oswald to keep him from revealing a larger conspiracy. At his trial, Ruby denied the allegation and pleaded innocent on the grounds that his great grief over Kennedy’s murder had caused him to suffer “psychomotor epilepsy” and shoot Oswald unconsciously. The jury found him guilty and sentenced him to die in the electric chair.
