...The Hoba meteorite landed in Namibia hundreds of years ago, but was only discovered by a farmer in 1920. The meteorite was so big that it has never been moved (Hoba weighs about 66 tons!). Hoba is also the biggest naturally occurring piece of iron known on Earth's surface. Another interesting fact about the meteorite is that, despite its size, it didn't leave a crater. One theory speculates that the meteorite skipped along the ground rather than crashing when it landed. Other large meteorites include El Chaco in Argentina, the Bacubirito meteorite in Mexico, and the Cape York meteorite in Denmark
