Ronald Wilson Reagan was born Feb. 6, 1911, in Tampico, Illinois. The Reagans settled in Dixon, Illinois, in 1920 and this is the town Reagan considered his home. He began working at Lowell Park near Dixon in 1926. He was still in high school at that time. During the seven summers he worked at Lowell Park, he reportedly saved 77 people.
