Step 1 : Introduction to the question "4. This film was actually released at the height of the war in 1968. It stars John Wayne in one of his many military roles. Which movie is this that follows the exploits of US special forces?"

...1. The Green Berets 2. Boys in Company C 3. We Were Soldiers 4. Navy SEALs "The Green Berets" is still as controversial today as it was when in premiered in 1968. Because of its pro-military, pro-war stance it has been derided by critics. The movie follows the story of a Green Beret colonel, John Wayne, and a newspaper reporter, played by David Janssen, as they join the war in South Vietnam. "Navy SEALs" is not a Vietnam era movie and stars Charlie Sheen, not John Wayne.
