[Ans] Where are the majority of the world's eggplants grown?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Where are the majority of the world's eggplants grown?"

Eggplant is widely cultivated as a food source, with the first recorded history of eggplant cultivation in China in 544 A.D. Cultivation of the plant probably dates to prehistory in eastern and southern Asia, however. Eggplant was a popular crop in ancient Egypt and came to the Mediterranean region with the Arabs. Today, China contributes 57 percent of the global eggplant production, with India accounting for 27 percent. The other major producers are Turkey, Egypt and Iran. Source: WorldAtlas.com
