[Ans] Which is the most common chronic degenerative disorder in children and adults?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Which is the most common chronic degenerative disorder in children and adults?"

Dental caries is the technical term for tooth decay. Cavities occur when the enamel covering a tooth breaks down. This decay results from the breakdown of bacteria in food that remains on the teeth after eating. This coating of bacteria weakens the tooth enamel and results in decay of the tooth. Dental caries are largely preventable but remains the most common chronic degenerative disorder in children and adults across the globe. In fact, the CDC estimates that 9 out of 10 people over the age of 20 have some degree of decay in one or more teeth. Source: CDC.gov
