The Snake River slithers through the canyon, which spans 10 miles wide and dives 8,000 feet below He Devil Peak in the Seven Devils Mountains of Idaho and upwards of a mile below the west rim of Oregon. When you visit, be sure to check out Hells Canyon Dam and take a snapshot of the scenic canyon at the viewpoint of Hat Point Road.
