Step 1 : Introduction to the question "In 1884, what did P.T. Barnum lead across the Brooklyn Bridge to prove that the structure was safe?"

On this day in 1883, The Brooklyn Bridge, linking Brooklyn and Manhattan, was opened to traffic for the first time. To test out the bridge, P.T. Barnum offered, he’d walk his troupe of elephants across it. On May 17, 1884, P.T. Barnum’s 21 elephants, including his star, Jumbo, crossed on foot from Manhattan to a circus showground in Brooklyn. The march of the circus animals across the bridge became an annual springtime ritual. It was a demonstration to the public that the bridge was safe and a brilliant promotional stunt for Barnum’s touring show.

[Answer] It is vital to be properly prepared for your trip. What items should you have with you to assure a safe adventure?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "It is vital to be properly prepared for your trip. What items should you have with you to assure a safe adventure?"

...Many of these ghost towns are remote and not easy to access. All of these items are necessary to make sure you can make it safely back to civilization. Rattlesnakes and scorpions are prevalent in many areas so it is good to have a first aid kit. No matter how carefully you drive, it is always a distinct possibility of having a flat tire. There are no service stations in the mountains and spotty cell phone reception at best. So always have a spare tire, jack, and extra gas.
