[Answer] What did Oklahoma name as its state vegetable in 2007?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What did Oklahoma name as its state vegetable in 2007?"

...The Oklahoma legislature reasoned that since watermelon is a member of the cucumber family, it must be a vegetable. In 2007, the state of Oklahoma declared watermelon as its official state vegetable (reference Oklahoma Statutes, Title 25, Section 25-98.15.) Watermelon is the 14th largest crop grown in Oklahoma, with more than 6,000 acres dedicated to growing the state vegetable that brings in revenues of over $7 million. The vote to declare watermelon a vegetable in Oklahoma was 44-2. Source: NewsOK.com
