Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What was Buster Keaton's real name?"
...Buster Keaton began performing at the age of 3 with his vaudeville performer parents. Born Joseph Frank Keaton IV on Oct. 4, 1895, the story goes that he got the nickname "Buster" from Harry Houdini. After falling down a flight of stairs, Houdini scooped up the child and turned to the parents, saying, "That's was a real buster!" Keaton would go on to become a legend in film, known for his trademark comedy, brilliant timing and his unique, one-of-a-kind facial expressions. One of his greatest stunts was mastery of the slapstick pie. Prior to his death in 1966, Keaton was honored with a five-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. Source: Biography.com
