[Answer] 2. It's June, and my chipmunk is happily running around my yard as usual, making little "chip chip" sounds and looking for food. I didn't see him all winter, though. Why?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "2. It's June, and my chipmunk is happily running around my yard as usual, making little "chip chip" sounds and looking for food. I didn't see him all winter, though. Why?"

...1. Chipmunks go into an inactive state called torpor 2. Chipmunks migrate south for the winter 3. Chipmunks turn white and blend in with the snow 4. I was too busy drinking eggnog and watching TV During the winter, chipmunks go into an inactive state called torpor. It isn't true hibernation, because they wake up frequently and eat the food they have stored in their burrows, and may even venture outside if the weather gets warm enough. This was a cold winter and a very cool spring, so I didn't catch a glimpse of my chipmunk until May. Unlike many animals, chipmunks don't store fat to help them make it through the winter. Torpor is very stressful to the chipmunk; many do not survive the demands it puts on their tiny bodies. In addition, despite their best efforts, some chipmunks are unable to store enough food to enable them to survive a very long, hard winter, My chipmunk is fortunate in that he gets about ten pounds of unsalted peanuts from me each year, so he isn't likely to go hungry. Chipmunks may spend up to half their lives in a state of torpor.

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What snack food was legally barred from calling its product "chips"?"

The container tubes for Pringles currently label the product as “potato crisps”. While Pringles are often thought of like a potato chip, technically it may just be referred to by its parent company as “crisps”. Pringles were originally known as "Pringles Newfangled Potato Chips", however, there were objections from other snack producers to the brand using the term potato chip to describe Pringles. The US Food and Drug Administration ruled in 1975 that Pringles could only use the word "chip" in their product name within the following phrase: "potato chips made from dried potatoes". Rather than do this, the company began referring to Pringles as potato "crisps" rather than potato chips.

[Answer] 5. Mmmm...who among us could refuse a slice of angel food cake. I know I couldn't. Which is NOT a classic ingredient in this delicious dessert?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "5. Mmmm...who among us could refuse a slice of angel food cake. I know I couldn't. Which is NOT a classic ingredient in this delicious dessert?"

...1. Egg whites 2. Flour 3. Sugar 4. Coconut Angel food cake is a type of foam cake with a springy texture. While the origins have never been clearly determined, it is generally believed that the cake followed the invention of the eggbeater in 1865. Because of the large number of egg whites used and the labor required to whip air into the eggs, a lack of an eggbeater to whip the eggs to a stiff froth would make the process extremely difficult. Recipes for snow-drift cake and silver cake found in cookbooks in the 1800s are very similar to later recipes for angel food cake. Like most foam cakes, angel food cakes have a high proportion of eggs to flour and are leavened by the air whipped into the eggs. Because only egg whites are used, the cake has little to no fat. This gives angel food cake it's characteristic light texture and taste. It is customarily made in a tube pan that should be un-greased. A sauce or frosting is often applied to the finished product imbuing it with a little flavor and texture. FUN FACT: As written in the 1883 "The President's Cookbook", angel food cake was a favorite dessert for first lady "Lemonade Lucy" Hayes.
