Step 1 : Introduction to the question "When did Amelia Earhart disappear?"
One of the most famous pilots of the 20th century is also at the heart (ha!) of a classic unsolved mystery. Earhart was just 39 years old when she vanished during a worldwide flight with her navigator, Frederick Noonan. Some believe the two simply perished at sea, while others imagine that they managed to survive off the grid until dying of old age. Regardless, she's still much-loved to this day.
