...The Monday after Easter is a day many celebrate around the world. It's a day for spening time with your family by getting outside, having picnics and enjoying the blossoming of spring. Celebrating the day has deep roots in Europe but is not widely observed in the U.S. The day after Easter is simply Easter Monday to some. It has other names in other places, such as Bright Monday, Wet Monday, Renewal Monday and Dyngus Day. It used to be "Black Monday" but many considered that unlucky. Source: AJC.com
