The book is about a group of four girls who have to spend the summer away from each other. One of them finds an old pair of jeans and eventually they all try them on. They are not the same size and build, but still the jeans magically fit each one of them. From that moment on they mail the jeans to each other from different locations. In 2005 the book was made into a movie starring Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn.
