Ms. Winehouse, unfortunately, spent much of her time making headlines in the tabloids. She was plagued by numerous personal problems, including eating disorders, depression, suicidal tendencies, alcohol and drug addictions and many legal problems. "Newsweek" magazine (March, 2007) said of her, "[Amy Winehouse] is a perfect storm of sex kitten, raw talent and poor impulse control". Amy's debut album was "Frank" released in 2003. She received over 20 musical awards, some of which are listed below: -2007: BRIT Awards (British Phonographic Industry) - Best Female Solo Artist -2008: Grammy Awards - Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best New Artist -2009: Echo Music Awards - Best International Female Artist (Rock/Pop) Album of the Year Unfortunately, Amy Winehouse passed away in July, 2011.
