Eliot Ness was a Prohibition agent, famous for his efforts to bring down Al Capone and enforce Prohibition. He was the leader of a famous team of law enforcement agents from Chicago, nicknamed The Untouchables. Robert Stack portrayed the crime fighting Eliot Ness in the award-winning ABC television hit drama series, The Untouchables (1959–1963). The show fictionalized Ness's experiences as a Prohibition agent, fighting crime in Chicago in the 1930s. The Untouchables won Stack an Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series in 1960.
