However, it has since been discovered that the teeth of the sea snail, aka the limpet, are five times stronger than spider silk. Sea snails clamp onto rocks using a special foot combined with chemicals that provide an incredible force of 75 pounds per square inch. That allows them to withstand the regular pounding from the ocean waves. Yet their teeth are even more impressive than this foot. The sea snail's tongue (radula) is covered in teeth which allow them to grind rock. It can withstand the same amount of pressure that can create diamonds. :
