Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where is the world's longest railway station platform?"
India - India is home to the world’s fourth-largest national railway system, covering more than 40,000 miles. While it doesn’t claim the top spot, India does lay claim to six of the 10 longest train station platforms in the world. The longest, Platform 1 at Gorakhpur Junction, was rebuilt in 2013 and extends nearly a mile. The platform measures 4,445 feet long without ramps; including ramps, that number jumps up to 4,482 feet. The station needs all that platform capacity to run smoothly, as it handles more than 189 trains per day. Gorakhpur's record might soon be surpassed by another Indian station, however: A planned extension of a platform in the southerly city of Hubli will raise the bar to over 4,938 feet. :
