Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where was Coca-Cola first bottled?"
Mississippi - A pharmacist in Atlanta named John Pemberton invented the syrup for Coca-Cola in 1886, but it would take years for the new soft drink to find its way from local soda fountains into bottles for wide-scale consumption. That happened after businessman Asa Griggs Candler acquired a stake in the formula and incorporated “The Coca-Cola Company.” One of the businesses he approached to stock the syrup belonged to the Biedenharn family, who owned a wholesale candy company in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The family suggested to Candler that they bottle the brew to make it more accessible to rural residents without necessitating a soda fountain. The first bottling was in 1894 and contributed greatly to the demand for Coca-Cola. Today you can visit the Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum in Vicksburg to learn about the history of America’s favorite soft drink.:
