Step 2 : Answer to the question "Which is the only country to operate a solar-powered plane?"
Switzerland - The world's first and only solar-powered aircraft are the Solar Impulse and Solar Impulse 2 — both made in Switzerland. The aircraft were part of a project led by Swiss engineer and businessman AndrĂ© Borschberg and Swiss psychiatrist and balloonist Bertrand Piccard. The Solar Impulse has proven to be a particularly fascinating plane, especially after it completed a round-the-world trip, clocking in 26,000 miles over a period of 505 days without any jet fuel. The comparably lightweight aircraft weighs 5,000 pounds and is equipped with 17,000 solar cells and features a 235-foot-long wingspan. Though there are still some technical challenges ahead, the planes could be a step in the right direction in changing the aviation industry!:

Wrong. ALL of those countries have had solar-powered airplanes. In the USA, see Solar Challenger and the various Sunseeker craft built by Eric Raymond. In the UK, see the various iterations of Zephyr and the Solar One plane of Fred To. China has flown numerous solar airplanes too.
