Georgia - A monument featuring “Ten Commandments” once stood in the city of Elberton, Georgia, although it had nothing to do with religion. Known as the “Georgia Guidestones,” the large stone monument was a mysterious guide to an “Age of Reason.” Written by a mythical man named R.C. Christian in 1979, the Elberton Granite Finishing Company was hired to build the stones, not reveal Christian’s true identity, and destroy the plans upon completion. Ten guidelines for re-establishing society were carved into the stone in eight languages, including English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, Hindi, and Swahili. The stones were damaged in 2022 and recently removed.:
