An artist named Piotr Kazimierczak envisioned the fortress with 12 towers representing the 12 apostles, 52 rooms, a swimming pool, and a ballroom. But Kazimierczak never had the proper permits, and construction was shut down in 1991 when officials realized. And by then, Kazimierczak had run out of money to complete construction anyway.
