Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where is this castle that was abandoned before construction finished?"

Poland - You might be surprised to learn that the construction of this castle started in 1979. Zamek Łapalice (Łapalice Castle) is located in northern Poland near the Baltic port city of Gdańsk. An artist named Piotr Kazimierczak envisioned the fortress with 12 towers representing the 12 apostles, 52 rooms, a swimming pool, and a ballroom. But Kazimierczak never had the proper permits, and construction was shut down in 1991 when officials realized. And by then, Kazimierczak had run out of money to complete construction anyway. In 2006, officials ordered the building demolished, but that cost money, too. As a result, the abandoned castle still stands but is unsafe to explore.:
