Step 2 : Answer to the question "Who was the first redheaded President of the United States?"
George Washington - Our first President was also the first redhead, believe it or not. In his youth, George Washington was known to have red hair, though white hair was all the rage at the time as you may know from the Founding Fathers’ portraits. Many believe Washington’s white hair was a wig, but it is believed to have actually been a powder that caused the snowy color. He’s in good company too, as there have been quite a few redheaded Presidents: Andrew Jackson was known for his wild red locks, as was Martin Van Buren, who also had excellent sideburns. Calvin Coolidge, Dwight Eisenhower, and Thomas Jefferson were all redheads too! Some say Ulysses S. Grant had red hair as well, but if you ask us, he was more of a chestnut auburn.:
