Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where is the world's oldest surviving music hall?"
Glasgow, Scotland - Any music or culture aficionado should make a pilgrimage to Britannia Panopticon Music Hall in Glasgow, Scotland — the oldest surviving music hall in the world. Built by H.M. McFarlane and Thomas Gildard in 1857, Britannia quickly became a mega-popular attraction, largely as a hot spot for Glasgow's working class to let loose and enjoy some entertainment. But it was its stint as a carnival and “freak show” venue that cemented Britannia's legacy. In 1906, manager A.E. Pickard drew inspiration from famed showman P.T. Barnum and converted the rooftop into a carnival area, waxworks and all, and the basement into a zoo. He then tacked on "Panopticon" — from the Greek “pan” (everything) and “optika” (to see) — to the name. Today, Britannia Panopticon Music Hall hosts plays, musicals, comedy shows, and more. Still sounds like a place to see everything.:
