[Answer] What has NOT been used to reach the North Pole?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What has NOT been used to reach the North Pole?"

...Though expeditions to the North Pole are exceedingly rare, when they do occur, adventurers commonly get there via a combination of dogsledding and skiing. Sometimes, however, people will try a more unique method. In 1987, Shinji Kazama became the first person to reach the North Pole by motorcycle — a specially modified Yamaha liquid-cooled DR-200. Just 5 years earlier, he had done the same ride to the South Pole. Up north, the Pole is surrounded by ice, with no real land underneath. That's what gave explorer Lewis Pugh the idea to kayak all the way there through cracked channels in the ice. Unfortunately, his trek was cut short about 620 miles from the top of the world, as the ice was just too thick. To date, no one has made it to the North Pole by kayak.
