Step 2 : Answer to the question "What U.S. city is home to the 1,200-acre Balboa Park?"

San Diego, California - Balboa Park is a sprawling city park that includes 17 museums, as well as the world-famous San Diego Zoo. City leaders set aside the land in 1868, making San Diego the second U.S. city to dedicate a large urban park (after New York’s Central Park in 1853). In 1910, the park was named for Spanish explorer Vasco Nunez de Balboa, the first European to cross Central America and see the Pacific Ocean. Balboa Park hosted the Panama-California Exposition celebrating the opening of the Panama Canal in 1915 and the California Pacific International Exposition in 1935. The exposition buildings from both historic events remain open to visitors today.:
