Step 2 : Answer to the question "What is the world's brightest bioluminescent bay?"
Mosquito Bay, Puerto Rico - The brightness of Puerto Rico's Mosquito Bay is caused by the chemical reactions of tiny glowing organisms called dinoflagellates — also known as “swirling fire.” There are some 700,000 dinoflagellates per gallon of water in the bay, which translates into an ever-present glow at night. Producing light through the conversion of their internal chemical energy, the dinoflagellates likely use their glow as a defense mechanism, drawing big fish to disturb the small fish who prey on them. The glowing organisms made their home in the bay, trapped in by its curvature and feeding off the area’s mangroves, to the delight of all those who travel just to see the stunning phenomenon.:
