[Answer] For how long was John Farmer, Jr., governor of New Jersey?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "For how long was John Farmer, Jr., governor of New Jersey?"

...John J. Farmer, Jr., is no novice when it comes to politics. He's an American politician, lawyer, author, and jurist. He was sworn in as the New Jersey Attorney General in March of 1999. In 2002, the governor of New Jersey Christine Todd Whitman resigned to head up the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. As Attorney General, it fell to Farmer to serve as Acting Governor, which he did for a total of 90 minutes on January 8, 2002. At the time, there was no Lieutenant Governor position in New Jersey. That position wasn't created until 2010. On January 8, 2002, the New Jersey Senate President and the Speaker of the Assembly posts both became vacant on that same day. The line of succession stated the next in line was the Attorney General until the Senate swore in a new President. This was done 90 minutes after Farmer became Acting Governor, at which time he relinquished the position to the newly-sworn in Senate President. Source: En.Wikipedia.org
