Not only was Jaynes nominated for Best Editing in “No Country for Old Men” (2007), this was his second nomination for the award after “Fargo” (1996). The Coen brothers even created a background story for their faux editor-in-chief. Roderick Jaynes is apparently in his late 80s or early 90s and on the side, writes cranky intros to some of their screenplays.:
