In any event, at 680 feet long, Gatlinburg's SkyBridge gives those crossing plenty of time to think about the decision they've made as they make their way over the valley floor 140 feet below. The SkyBridge even has some clear panels near its midpoint that let brave hikers look down at the drop beneath their feet.:
