Step 2 : Answer to the question "Who demanded John the Baptist's head on a platter?"

Herodias' daughter - John the Baptist did what prophets do best: He told people things they didn't want to hear. He told Herod that it was unlawful for him to have Herodias, his brother Philip's wife. Herod was incensed. He seized John and threw him into prison. He actually wanted to have John killed, but he was afraid of the people's reaction, since they held John in high regard. Herod's birthday arrived and Herodias' daughter performed a dance at his party. This pleased Herod so much that he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked for. Her mother prompted her, and she demanded, \"Give me the head of John the Baptist on a platter!\" Herod was caught between a rock and a hard place. He feared the people's reaction, but he feared going back on his oath in front of his party guests more. He gave the order. John was beheaded in prison and his head was brought on a platter and given to the girl. She took it and gave it to her mother. John's disciples came and collected his body and buried it.:
