[Answer] Where can you find these Painted Hills?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Where can you find these Painted Hills?"

...1. Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico 2. Mojave National Preserve, California 3. Zion National Park, Utah 4. John Day Fossil Beds, Oregon

Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where can you find these Painted Hills?"

John Day Fossil Beds, Oregon - Named after the river of the same name, because of its eroding effect in creating this landmark, the John Day Fossil Beds are stunning rainbow rock formations in Oregon. John Day, himself, was a trapper who was robbed along the river. Funnily enough, historians believe he never set foot near the Fossil Beds which are now his namesake. Either way, he should be proud that they carry on his heritage, as the beds preserve plant and animal fossils and ecosystems over 40 million years. Hikes and scenic drives are popular in the area, and you too can become an amateur paleontologist at the Thomas Condon Paleontology and Visitor Center.:
