Step 2 : Answer to the question "When was the newest element added to the Periodic Table?"
2016 - If you’re a science geek, you probably know the periodic table front to back. But do you know which elements are fresh off the grill? In 2016, four new elements were added to the table: Nihonium (Nh), Moscovium (Mc), Tennessine (Ts), and Oganesson (Og), atomic numbers 113, 115, 117, and 118, respectively. The four new elements have been known since as far back as 2002, and were first proposed for inclusion on the table in 2015. After various stages of review, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) formally approved them for the revised table the following year. The coolest part: The laboratories who discovered them got to name them! But protocol is they must name them after a scientist, a geographical region, an elemental property, a mineral or similar substance, or a mythological character/concept. We're surprised they didn’t go with Unicornium.:
