Step 2 : Answer to the question "What was Johnny Appleseed’s real name? "

John Chapman - You make think that Johnny Appleseed was a folk legend, but there really was a barefoot man who wandered the backwoods of Pennsylvania and Ohio planting apple trees along the way. His name was John Chapman and he was more than an apple enthusiast. He was an avid naturalist and orchardist. He didn’t sow his apple seeds and leave the young trees to their own devises. He made routine treks back to each orchard he planted to tend the trees and educate the townspeople about caring for the orchard. A devout Christian, Chapman refused to harm animals in anyway. He was a vegetarian and avoided wearing shoes because they were made of leather. According to legend, he would not even build a campfire during his travels because he once saw a moth fly into the flames. :
