Step 2 : Answer to the question "What happened to the curtain of the Temple during the crucifixion?"

It was torn in two - First, a little background information. There was a curtain that hung in the Temple of Jerusalem that separated the Most Holy Place from the rest of the sanctuary. It symbolized how God was unapproachable by sinful man. Once a year, a high priest could enter the Most Holy Place to make atonement for man’s sin. Fast forward to Jesus dying on the cross. At the moment that Jesus breathed his last, the curtain in the Temple was torn in two! It tore from top to bottom, which implied it was torn by a divine action. Jesus’ death opened the way into the presence of God. We no longer need a high priest to make atonement for the sins of the people. Jesus is both the ultimate High Priest and the perfect sacrificial Lamb. His death guaranteed eternal redemption for all who believe.:
