Step 2 : Answer to the question "In the parable of the sower, what type of ground choked the seeds?"
The thorny ground - Jesus was a storyteller. He taught by telling parables that were designed to teach his listeners moral and spiritual lessons. Jesus would say, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear,” and often his audience was left confused. The parable of the sowers is one of the few parables where the explanation is recorded in Scripture. Jesus told a story about a sower who broadcast seed. Some of the seed fell on the path, and birds came and ate it up. This represents how some people hear the Gospel, but Satan immediately takes away the word that is sown in them. Some seed fell on rocky ground. It immediately sprang up, but it withered in the sun because it didn’t have enough soil to root in. This represents people who receive the Word with joy, but when hard times come, they have no root system and fall away. Other seed fell among thorns and was choked out by the weeds. The thorns represent the cares of the world and desires for riches that choke the Word, so it doesn’t bear fruit. And some seeds fell into good soil and grew up, and produced grain. These are the people who hear the Word and accept it and bear fruit.:
