Take ScreenShot of Desktop in Linux Ubuntu and Fedora



Are you not able to down load any image from internet? Is website owner not providing the download option? So, you should know about the ScreenShot option in all linux Operating Systems like Ubuntu and Fedora. Take a ScreenShot of any image, file viewing on your desktop.


Step 1: Open ‘Take ScreeShot’:


For this you need to follow these steps:

Applications >> Accessories >> Take Screenshot

When you follow above procedure then you will see a window with options like :

  1. Grab the whole desktop
  2. Grab the Current Window
  3. Select area to grab

Step 2: Configure the Options


When you Select the first Option ‘Grab the whole desktop’, then You are going to make whole desktop area as a image. Press ‘Take Screenshot’ button at bottom right of the window.

When you Select the Second Option ‘Grab the Current Window’, then You are going Take the current window that you are working on desktop screen. Press ‘Take Screenshot’ to grab that window.

When you Select the Third Option ‘Select the area to grab’, then You are going Take the current window that you are working on desktop screen. Press ‘Take Screenshot’ to grab that window.

Step 3: Additional Options


Use the additional Options like:

  1. Grab After Delay of [] seconds: If you want enable this option then, you should increase time delay showing in [] to some ‘x’. So that the screenshot come into effect after ‘x’ seconds
    1. Include Pinter: If we enable this option then it will show the cursor along with the desktop area that you are going to grab.
